Setting of capital murder trial delayed

The trial of a Pulaski man accused of killing his infant child was supposed to be set Friday, but its scheduling has been continued until August.

Pulaski County Commonwealth’s Attorney Mike Fleenor said limited free time on the court docket before fall and the anticipation of numerous pre-trial motions hearings resulted in a delay in scheduling of the capital murder case of 31-year-old Howard Samuel Cole.

Cole is accused of killing his five-month-old son, Cory Samuel Cole, and illegally disposing of the child’s body in a wooded area near Draper. Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty in the case.
