Charges have yet to be filed in a May 7 motorcycle wreck that killed a Pulaski man.
Pulaski Police Capt. Anthony Meredith said Friday authorities are still “conferring with the commonwealth’s attorney office pending charges” in the wreck that claimed the life of 71-year-old James Edward Umberger.
Meredith said earlier this month that what caused the wreck between Umberger’s motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle remains under investigation, but “charges are pending.” The identity of the SUV’s driver has yet to be released.
Umberger died at LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski after the 2:17 p.m. wreck at the intersection of Memorial Drive and O’Dell Street. Meredith said no one else was injured.
