Pulaski County Lord’s Acre Association will hold its first planning meeting Tuesday, May 20, to organize the 49th Annual Lord’s Acre Sale to be held this fall.
The gathering will begin with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Draper United Methodist Church, 3080 Greenbriar Road, in Draper. The business meeting follows at 7. Churches from in and around Pulaski County are welcome to participate.
The Lord’s Acre Sale is held the last Saturday of each September at New River Valley Fairgrounds, off Route 100, north of Dublin. The sale promotes Christian fellowship and helps raise money for mission projects and local ministries.
At least 10 percent of all sales are donated to area ministries and mission projects.
This year’s Lord’s Acre Sale will be held Sept. 27, with devotions at 8:15 a.m. and the sale running 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants can sell homemade baked goods and crafts, home grown produce, home canned goods and plate lunches.
There will also be gospel singing throughout the day, as well as activities for the children.
Churches interested in joining this year’s event should contact Mack McGrady at 980-0631.
