In a little old house on Giles Avenue in Dublin, children in the area are learning skills that will help them transition through the early stages of their lives.
The Learning Circle, which has been in operation since 1997, offers an experience for early childhood education in a way that cradles comfort, but still helps the children develop socially. According to director Tina Blackburn, The Learning Circle’s setting gives off a homelike environment, which can have a positive impact on learning at an early age.
“It does feel more like a home to them,” said Blackburn. “Where they have classes in different rooms of the house, it enables us to keep our class sizes smaller, and provides a little more intimate environment for the children to get to know each other.”
