RR Transportation Museum Golf Tourney Set

June 20 will be the day to tee up for the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum Benefit Golf Tournament at Pulaski County Club.

The four-person Captain’s Choice tournament will tee off at 1 p.m., following lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Ratcliffe is sponsoring the benefit day to help in operation of the museum, located on S. Washington Avenue, opposite Dora Highway and across the street from the Depot.

The museum house an astonishing model-to-scale of the Town of Pulaski in the 1950s with working model trains and a changing display of antiques, historic photographs, newspapers, other printed materials and various items from the early years of the town.

The influence of the railroad, manufacturing, business and the community on what was called Martin’s Tank in the early rail days when water and coal were vital to operations of steam locomotives.

Sponsorships are being sought at $100 per hole, $75 for birdie sponsor and $500 for Eagle sponsors.

An individual, group or company making a $500 gift or more will be recognized with a banner at the registration area, and the logo on the Town of Pulaski web site.

The sponsor’s name and/or logo will be in the printed program and have pertinent information at the registration area.

A Hole sponsor ($100) will have a sign placed on the golf course, name and logo printed in the program and also displayed on the town web site.

Birdie sponsors will have a sign placed on the course and name printed in the program.

Entry fee is $60 per golfer (team-$240), with Mulligans at $5 per person and “Red Tees” also at $5 per person. The entry fee includes lunch, care and green fees.

Prizes will go to the first, second and third place team finishers.
