The Pulaski community could be looking at countywide connectivity with a new grant that will be made available by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
In a presentation during the joint meeting between the Pulaski County School Board and Board of Supervisors Monday night, Director of Information Tim Barnes said that the FCC set aside a large amount of money for rural fiber projects. The FCC came to the community recently and gave the county a one-week window to determine a couple of factors for the grant.
“Who would be interested in spending this money, and if so how would you do it?” Barnes said, echoing the questions asked by the FCC.
