Tuesday night’s Pulaski Town Council meeting started off with a joint public hearing with the Pulaski County Planning Commission to discuss various zoning issues in the town.
The joint meeting also marked member Nick Glenn’s last session with the planning commission. The first item for the meeting concerned a request for a special exception under the town’s B3 zoning regulations to allow Wings Tails & Fins, a new pet shop, to open in downtown Pulaski.
Planning commission member David Quesenberry spoke in support of the new business, which he said would help vitalize the downtown area and drive much needed traffic to that part of town. He also mentioned that the pet shop is in character with the neighborhood as a retail business.
