Between preparing healthy food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Pulaski County nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate.
To celebrate their hard work and commitment, the School Nutrition Association (SNA) has designated the week of May 5 through May 9 as School Nutrition Employee Week. This coming week is an opportunity for parents, students, school staff and communities to thank those who provide healthy meals to 32 million of America’s students each school day.
According to PCPS School Nutrition Director Ethelene Sadler, school nutrition professionals from all across the school district will be honored with thanks, cards, and recognition from students, school staff, parents and the community. Pulaski County plans to recognize each employee with a useful gift that will enhance the positive image the school nutrition team strives to uphold each school day.
