Marion ‘Agnes’ Taylor Quesenberry

Marion “Agnes” Taylor Quesenberry, age 78 of Hiwassee, Va., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born June 14, 1935 in Pulaski County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Bruce Taylor and Lattie Bell Graham Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Davidson, two brothers, Carl and Keith Taylor, and one sister, Hattie Turman.

She was a devoted member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. She took great pride in being a mom and “nanny.” She cared for so many, especially children, and was loved by all.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Alfred “Popeye” Quesenberry of Hiwassee, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Terry Covey of Ferrum, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jeannie Quesenberry of Snowville, Va.; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Cindy and Jeremiah Cook of Chattanooga, Tenn., Amy and Josh Howland of Springhill, Tenn., Brooke and Alyson Quesenberry of Snowville, Va.; great-granddaughter, Pippa Howland; great-grandson, Hudson Cook; one great-grandbaby coming in September and two sisters, Bonnie Taylor of Hiwassee, Va.,  and Gaye Reames of Sarasota, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, Hiwassee with Pastor Doug Ballew officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Cecil’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
