Library announces ‘It’s All Write’ contest winners

Pulaski County Library System has announced the winners of its second annual “It’s All Write” Short Story Writing Contest.

The contest is judged in four age groups: elementary (third to fifth grade), middle school, high school and adult.  Winners were selected without the judge being able to see the names of the authors.

First place winners received $50; second place, $25, and third place, $10. Prize money was provided by Friends of the Library.

First place winner in this year’s elementary division was Jacqueline Marie Duncan, with “A Trip Into the Past.” Taking the second place prize was “The Spiders” by Nathan Kelley and “Stars and Clouds” by Noah Long won third place.
