SALEM – LewisGale Regional Health System announced the appointment of three hospital leaders to its senior leadership team on Thursday, April 17.
According to Joy Sutton, LewisGale’s marketing communications manager, each leader brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience.
Loressa Cole, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, began her new role as Chief Nursing Officer for LewisGale Medical Center and Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) for LewisGale Regional Health System in early April. Richard Embrey, MD, MBA, has been appointed to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the market and will assume his position May 1.
Lastly, Michael Abbott, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS, will serve as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for LewisGale Medical Center and will also begin his duties on May 1.
