Jacquelyn “Jackie” Gallogy Hunter, age 69, of Pulaski, Va., died surrounded by her loving family on, April 27, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Jackie was born in Trenton, N.J. on July 26, 1944 and spent her early years in Flemington, N.J. Jackie was married to Roy K. Hunter on June 18, 1983 and spent 31 years with her life companion. They have lived for the last 19 years in Pulaski, Va. where they have enjoyed the love and friendship of a large group of friends. One of her other loves in life was gardening – being a Master Gardener. She enjoyed sharing her unique and beautiful gardens and being a member of the local garden club. Jackie was part of a large and loving family. She was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor Waldon Gallogly Hampton and Peter J. Gallogly, and her nephew, Patrick W. Reasoner.
She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Roy; her sister, Kathleen E., and husband, Dave Van Note; brother, Thomas J., and wife, Sydney Gallogly, and their daughter, Sarah, and husband, Jeramy Chafin, and their daughter, Ava; sister, Mary Alice, and husband, William C. Reasoner, and their son, Brian T., and wife, Jennifer Reasoner, and daughters, Alexandra and Julia.
The family is planning a celebration of Jackie’s life at a future date. They request that in lieu of flowers and in Jackie’s memory any donations be made to The Daily Bread of Pulaski, P.O.
