Edith ‘Eadie’ Lee Durden Tucker

Edith “Eadie” Lee Durden Tucker, 59, of Fairlawn, Va., passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at LewisGale Medical Center-Salem. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth C. Durden of Columbia, S.C. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Howard and Virginia Tucker, and by two brothers-in-law, Jerry Edward and Norman Woodrow Tucker. 

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Warren Douglas “Doug” Tucker of Fairlawn, Va.; daughter, Tamara Leigh Tucker of Marriottsville, Md.; son, Douglas Tucker of Fairlawn, Va.; father and his wife, George Thomas and Barbara Durden of Winterville, Ga.; sister, Linda Nieradka and husband Russell, of Swansea, S.C.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Wayne and Cheryl Durden and Robert Donald Elmore all of Swansea, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Alice Diane Tucke of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Deborah Lois Cox of Charlotte, N.C.; brother-in-law and wife, John and Susie Tucker of Apex, N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
