The Creativity Project’s youth drama group will perform “The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet,” a comical reimagining of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” written and performed in the style of Dr. Seuss.
The play has been a big hit across the country, and will be performed by home schooled students from the New River Valley. “The cast has been working hard on this play and is excited to perform it at the historic Pulaski Theatre,” said Kerrie Henegar, whose son Keagan will play the part of Romeo.
The Creativity Project homeschool co-op was created out of a desire to have affordable, engaging group activities for kids to participate in, beyond sports and recreational classes. Participating families represent a variety of beliefs, lifestyles, and backgrounds. However, everyone shares a common goal: to create a friendly community dedicated to helping kids exercise their imaginations, find inspiration in the world around them, discover their own talents and work together to accomplish fun and interesting things.
Tickets are $3 at the door. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Pulaski Theatre and part will help fund not for profit youth activities for the kids in The Creativity Project. For more information, call 235-4594 or 320-8026.
