BLACKSBURG – Guests can challenge their minds and pick up some tips on brain health at a free interactive brain fair to be held at Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg Friday, April 4.
“Engage Your Brain: A Brain Health Fair” will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the facility’s Village Center, 2387 Warm Hearth Drive. The fitness center and Warm Hearth at Home are hosting the event.
The fair will include a variety of mind-challenging activities, such as word puzzles, knitting and games to test the non-dominant hand. Alzheimer’s Association, Tuck Chiropractic, registered dietician Kristen Chang and massage therapist Janice McCree will give presentations.
Chang’s presentation addresses brain healthy foods, food tips and recipes, while McCree’s includes brief demonstrates of hand massages and reflexology techniques. Warm Hearth at Home will conduct memory screenings.
