The Blacksburg Community Band will celebrate their 25th Anniversary with their Spring Concert on Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. in the Blacksburg High School Auditorium.
According to Band Secretary Terry Fisher, the band, directed by Jay A. Durner, will play favorite pieces from its repertoire. The performance will include music from the Suite of Old American Dances, Pineapple Poll, My Fair Lady, and Hoagy Carmichael.
Marches and the world premiere of Associate Conductor Steve Brown’s “From the Log of The Red Dragon,” will also be included in the performance. The concert is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow.
