The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is offering a five-week session for adults interested in learning the beautiful medium of watercolor. Classes will be taught by Harriet Anderson, a local artist who has been teaching watercolor for several years. Her unique method of using watercolor techniques along with lessons on composition and drawing on small canvases makes the popular water media easy to learn.
Classes will begin on Monday, June 2 and will be held each Monday in June with the exception of June 16. The time for each class is 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Materials will be provided for the first class and the cost is $55 per person for the five-week session.
A makeup date in July will be offered to cover the June 16 class as well as another alternate date for any student who might have to miss a session in June.
Contact the FACNRV at 980-7363 or firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for the classes.
Come learn something new this summer and don’t let the excuse “I couldn’t draw a stick figure” hold you back from an introduction to this interesting art medium.
