Wanda Sutphin Phillips, age 73 passed away March 11, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born Oct. 23, 1940, she was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita R. and John S. Sutphin. Her brothers, Allen Lee Sutphin and John S. Sutphin Jr., and one sister, June Sharp also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Michele Chewning and husband, Timothy, of Pulaski; brother, Wayne Sutphin of AltaVista; grandchildren, Stevie Denise Phillips of Pulaski, Brian Keith Rochelle Jr. of Washington, D.C., Cody Rochelle of Pulaski and Cory Wayne Phillips and wife, Danielle, of Fort Drum, N.Y., Dusty Allen Phillips of Pulaski; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jaylen and London Phillips.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Judy Yonce officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Per her wishes, her body will be donated the State Anatomical Program for scientific study.
