Last evening, the Pulaski County School Board named Joseph Reed interim principal at Pulaski County High School.

According to a news release from Pulaski County Public Schools, Reed most recently served as principal of Pulaski Middle School prior to his retirement.

“Mr. Reed has decades of experience as a teacher and administrator in our school system. He knows our students and our community,” said School Board Chairman Michael Barbour. “We are pleased that he has agreed to serve as interim principal of Pulaski County High School during this period of transition.”

Reed replaces Mr. Michael Myers, who is taking a position at Northampton High School in Northampton County.

“Mr. Myers is a student-centered leader who always displayed great enthusiasm and passion for Pulaski County High School,” said Thomas Brewster, superintendent of schools. “We wish him the best of luck in his new position.”

According to the release, the position of Principal of Pulaski County High School will be advertised immediately.

Mr Reed is a fine man, but I think he wants to be retired. Lets go out of town and pick a new Principal and make sure he is living in the county before he takes the position. We need someone that is not connected whatsoever to anyone here, then there won’t be any favortisim shown. He needs to come in with a new slate. I think there is someone out there we just have to keep looking.

It is quite hilarious reading all these post. As for people supporting Akers an Farris, that is just what this county needs. The role models they have been for our kids, and their support for the community is unreal. Yet someone has the audacity to even post about Akers kids!? Unreal!!!Sounds like someone is a little jealous. However, its sad that some people within the county can even be so negative about our leaders/coaches/teachers. It’s a free world, If you don’t like this county, and all ways have something negative to say about someone or how this county is operated. THEN LEAVE!! We don’t need those kinds of people around us or our children. There are plenty of supporters. Away with all the negatives!!!
