Pulaski Theatre will kick off its newest feature this month, Third Friday Movie night, with “Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
The Third Friday Movie series will feature newer film releases, such as the latest in the Hunger Games series. However, the series will offer family-friendly prices. Adult admission is $5 and children ages 12 and younger are admitted for $3.
The Third Friday series, obviously, will be he held on the third Friday of each month. “First Friday Classics,” featuring classic films on the first Friday of the month, will continue to be featured, as well as live performances.
“Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be showing Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30. The movie is rated PG-13.
Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, the latest movie in the series continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, who has returned safely home from winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games, but must now take part in the district “Victor’s Tour.”
Although it is not part of the Third Friday Movie series, the theatre will be showing “Star Trek: Into Darkness” this Friday, March 7, at 7 p.m.
This film, the latest in the Star Trek movie series, stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. It follows the crew of the Enterprise when it is called back home to find the world in a state of crisis as the result of the actions of “a one-man weapon of mass destruction.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission prices are the same as those for the Third Friday Movie series.
Upcoming films in the First Friday Classics series include “Singin’ in The Rain,” April 1; “The Wizard of Oz,” May 2, and “American Graffiti,” June 6.
