Steven Wayne Gravley

Steven Wayne Gravley, 53, of 260 Bentley Hollow Road, Pulaski, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in his sister’s care and loving home.  He was born Aug, 28, 1960 and was the son of the late Lacey E. Gravley and Betty Goad Gravley Hall.  He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Lacey E. Gravley Jr.  He was a skilled carpenter and craftsman who helped everyone in his family and neighborhood with a project at one time or another. He worked with his beloved friend Barry Sheppard for over 20 years.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Lazaro Hernandez; daughter and son-in-law, Beckie and Josiah Clark; mother, Betty G. Hall; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Tony Padgett; brother and sister-in-law, David and Robin Gravley; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Tina Brookman; five grandchildren, Diego, Brookelyn, Adan, Adriana, and Jax, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind more gracious and loving friends than one can count, no one closer than his best friend, Junior Kemp.

Thank you all for your love and support.  He promised to meet us at “The Pearly Gates.”

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, March 3 at 11 a.m. from Oakwood cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.

    I am so sorry to learn of Stenen’s passing. Ths is the first I had heard of it and very sad that I did not know, so that I could visit or attend the services. My deepest sympathy to Aunt Betty and all ofSteven’s family. Love, Barbara 031014

    I have fond memories of all of us children playing in the mountain and swinging o grape vines. So, sorry I did not know of his death in time to visit with my family at this dark time. Loving memories of a child so sweet.

    Did he graduate in 1978 I went to school with a Wayne Gravely ,.
