The mother of Cory Cole, the Pulaski infant found buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area of Draper, has been arrested.
Pulaski Police Department issued a press release stating on Feb.12 investigators with the Town of Pulaski Police Department obtained a warrant for Samantha Anna-Jane Taylor (Warden) for Child Neglect in violation of COV 18.2-371.1, a Class 4 felony. Taylor is the name on record with the police, but when asked if she was still legally married, Warden said she was not.
According to the release, the information contributing to the initiation of this charge was developed during the continuing investigation into the infant’s death. Investigators determined that Warden was located at a residence in Campbell County and contacted the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in apprehending her. At approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, deputies with Campbell County located Warden and placed her into custody. She is currently located at that office’s jail facility and being held without bond.
