Pulaski County Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will hold its winter meeting Monday, Feb. 3, 4-5 p.m., at Pulaski County High School.

The meeting will take place in the Cougar Center, which formerly housed the Governor’s School.

Jackie Fagan, Dublin Middle School SPED teacher, will provide updates from Virginia Department of Education. She holds office at the state SPEC level.

Dr. Ben Tickle also will be introduced. A graduate of Pulaski County High School and county resident, Tickle brings a “wealth of knowledge about special education” as the county’s new director of special education, according to SEAC.

SEAC is made up of parents, educators, and community agencies interested in the education of children with disabilities. Among other functions, the group advises the local school division of unmet needs and assists in developing plans for improving performance of children with disabilities.
