Dublin Town Council will hold a public hearing later this month on the sale of industrial park property for a new manufacturing facility for Alexander Industries Inc.
The hearing will be Thursday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m., in council chambers on the second floor of Dublin Town Center. Town council will consider the sale of property within Dublin Industrial Park to Pulaski County Industrial Development Authority for construction of a 25,000-square-foot facility for Alexander.
It was announced in January that Alexander Industries will invest $2.88 million to construct a firearms manufacturing plant in Dublin, creating 64 new jobs. The business was established in Radford in 2001, but growth has brought about the need for a larger facility to increase manufacturing capacity.
The company considered relocating to South Dakota or Texas, but settled on staying in Virginia.
Alexander produces rifles, ammunition and accessories for its firearms.
