FFA holding food for area needy

By MELINDA WILLIAMS

melinda@southwesttimes.com

Pulaski County High School FFA will hold a canned food drive at Dublin Walmart Friday, with all collections going to local food banks.

Chapter officers and FFA members and advisors will have a display set up outside the food entrance to the store between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Citizens are urged to stop by during these hours and donate canned food or money to the cause.

The group’s display will “create a visual of unfortunate circumstances that people currently face in our county.” They hope to have the school’s activity bus to store and transport the collected food.

I am so glad people are learning to help a good cause at such an early age. My son is in 5th grade, but I am sure he will join this club when he gets to HS. You guys are wonderful. I hope those big hearts stick with you the rest of your lives.
