Edith Gregory Crigger, 97, of Dublin, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Carillon New River Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Crigger was a Christian lady who everyone loved and respected. She was a lifelong member of the Pulaski Church of Christ. She retired from Radford Arsenal with 27 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Crigger; daughter, Margaret; son, Stan; parents, James and Mahala Gregory; four brothers, Clayton, Chester, Collin, Verlon, and one sister Thelma Lindsay.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin and Hilda Crigger, of Dublin and J. W. and Francie Crigger of Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Otis O’Dell of Hiwassee; daughter, Elva Bratton of Dublin; daughter-in-law, Sharon Crigger of Dublin; sister, Velma Vaughn of Christiansburg; ten grandchildren, Darrell and Pam Bratton, Philip Crigger, Steve and Tonya Crigger, Tommy Crigger, Vena and Bentley Duncan, Doris and Kyle Glass, Karen and Glenn Hurd, R. A. and Velena O’Dell, Maria and Allen Truell and Pam and Steve Whitte; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; extended family, Moss and Linda Boone, Greg and Melissa Boone, James and Karen Boone; five step-grandchildren, and a very special friend and caregiver, Barbara Duncan of Blacksburg.
Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 from 6 to 8 p. m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 815 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski. Funeral services were held 11 a. m. Saturday, Feb. 15, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Clarence Lavender and David Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
