Come spring, the New River Valley will be able to give more than five million people worldwide a glimpse of the region’s offerings in a feature in Delta SKY magazine.
The NRV and Roanoke will be featured in an approximately 20-page section in the April issue of the Delta Air Lines magazine, according to Aric Bopp, executive director of New River Valley Economic Development Alliance. He said the publication is placed on board 13,000 daily flights and can be found at select bookstores throughout the United State and Canada. It also appears online at www.deltaskymag.com.
“The Roanoke-New River Valley region has been presented with an outstanding opportunity to showcase the area’s thriving businesses, entertainment, education, recreation and culture in a special feature section in the April issue …,” said Bopp in the Alliance’s monthly newsletter.
He noted magazine editors and writers are in the process of researching and writing editorial content for the section “which will highlight the region’s economic vitality and enviable lifestyle.”
The area’s tourism and educational opportunities, business profiles and technology are to be featured in the section, Bopp said.
“We fully expect Delta SKY to showcase why the Roanoke-New River Valley region is the best place to live, visit, and work,” he added
Bopp called the feature “an enormous marketing opportunity for the region and its business community.”
