Lelia Mae Boardwine Barnette

Lelia Mae Boardwine Barnette, age 93, of Pulaski, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 in Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin.

Born March 20, 1920 in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Estel and Maggie Boardwine. Her husband, Glenn Harold Barnette; a son, Larry Barnette; five brothers, and one sister also preceded her in death.

She was retired from Dublin Garment Company.

Surviving are her children, Jimmy Harold Barnette and wife, Brenda, of Dublin, Bonnie Sue Werner of Bluefield, Gayle Buchanan and husband, Steve, of Pulaski; five grandchildren, Alisa Lynn Barnette, Timmy Harold Barnette and wife, Cindy, Kimberly Haynes and husband, Robert, Darrell Werner and Tony Buchanan and Angie; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Mary Lou McClain and husband, Jim, of Nanticoke, Md. and Merlene Marshall of Richlands.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 30, 2 p.m., in Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. Interment followed at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family received friends Monday from 1 p.m. until the service time at Bower Funeral Home.
