Daily Bread in need of volunteers

By CALVIN PYNN

Daily Bread, an ecumenical program that serves midday community meals five days a week at First Presbyterian Church, is reaching out for volunteers to help prepare and serve their noontime meal.

According to a news release from First Presbyterian Church, they are seeking individuals, Church groups, and civic organizations that have several hours to donate each month.

The release stated that volunteers are the life-blood of Daily Bread. Their services include setting up, preparing, and serving lunch each day, running errands, and helping with special occasions.

They also donate thousands of hours each month to helping people in the community.

Those interested in volunteering several hours per week can contact Program Director Debra Harrell at 980-2131. Volunteers can also come by the First Presbyterian Church, located at 4th and Jefferson Street in Pulaski.
