Russell (Rusty) Warren Williams

Russell (Rusty) Warren Williams, age 59, of Pulaski, died early Monday morning, Dec. 2, 2013, at his Mt. Olivet residence.

He was born Nov. 20, 1954, and was the son of the late Marlene Lovern Williams and James Howard Williams.   Rusty worked, for many years in the construction field as a welder, and could be found fishing or with his grandsons. He recently became a devoted and selfless caregiver to his mother during the last months of her life.

He is survived by his loving and supportive wife of 37 years, Rose Thomas Williams of Pulaski; a son, Shane Williams and his wife, Suzanne, of Pulaski; a daughter, Cherish (Nikki) Williams of Pulaski; two brothers, Michael Williams and his wife, Paula, of Pulaski and Danny Williams and his wife, Janet, of Dublin; two grandchildren who were the lights of his life, Brandon Williams and Gabe Stillwell; brothers-in-law and their wives, Ricky and Debbie Thomas, Frankie and Kathy Ridpath, and Mike and Bonnie McNutt; numerous nieces and nephews, and his precious pet dogs, Scooter and Bingo.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, before the service, 5-7 p.m. Burial will be private.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com.

    So sorry for your loss… me and rusty grew up together.. he’s been my friend for many years. he will be sadly missed..

    Rusty will be sorely missed. We were all so very close growing up on Veterans Hill. He was like a brother more so than a cousin. I pray that God blesses and comforts Rusty’s family in the days and weeks ahead, and gives them peace all the days of their lives.
