Winning entries in this year’s Pulaski Christmas Parade have been announced by Pulaski County Jaycees, which sponsors the annual event.
The theme of this year’s parade, held Thursday night, Dec. 5, was “Snowflake Dreams.”
First place in the Youth division went to Pulaski County 4-H Livestock Club, while Mountain Brook Holiness Church took home the second place prize.
North Star Church won first place in the Adult category. Second and third places went to Gethsemane Baptist Church and The Christmas Store, respectively.
In the Commercial division, Tuck Chiropractic came in first, while Phoenix Packaging finished in second place and Americare was third.
Winning entries receive plaques.
Parade organizer Lin Martin expressed thanks to the following organizations and businesses that made donations to help fund the parade: Crowell, Nuckols, Layman, and Aust, LLP Attorneys at Law; Cynthia M. Southern, D.D.S.; The Southwest Times; Budget Inn; Cougar Express and New River Valley Senior Services.
She also issued a “special thank you” the following for helping with the parade: Grand Marshalls The Pulaski Mariners and Slyder; Pulaski Police Department; Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office; Pulaski Fire Department; Pulaski Parks and Facilities; VFW Post 1184; Duncan Suzuki; Tony Montgomery with Draper Valley Golf Course; Scott and Elissa Grantham; parade judges Peggy White, Anthony Akers and Bryant “Bubba” Blankenship; and, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
