One last word to the nice (and naughty): the town of Pulaski’s annual holiday celebration is tomorrow night.
The festivities will begin at 5:30 in Jackson Park with the town’s Christmas Tree Lighting event, featuring marshmallow roasting, cookie decorating, singing and visiting with Santa, and culminating in the tree lighting itself.
Afterward, celebrants are encouraged to stroll over to Main Street and enjoy the annual Jaycees Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is “Snowflake Dreams” and will, of course, include another appearance by Santa himself, coming through last on a Pulaski Fire Department engine. Kazim Shriners characters and the Pulaski County High School Cougar Marching Band will also march.
The parade lineup will begin at 6 p.m. at Duncan Bridge and First Street NE and will head west on First Street to Jefferson Avenue. The parade procession will begin on Jefferson at 7 p.m., turn right onto Main Street and continue east to Tractor Supply and the Food Lion shopping center.
First-, second- and third-place plaques will be presented to the best youth, adult and commercial entries. Judging will take place in front of the Pulaski County Courthouse.
