Pamela (Pam) Durmon Smith

Pamela (Pam) Durmon Smith, 60, of Radford, passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2013 at Emeritus at Roanoke in Roanoke due to complications from Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) and Dementia.

Pam was born in Pulaski County on May 12, 1953 to the late Merle and Virginia Durmon of Pulaski. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert (Bob) Smith of Radford; her daughter, Amanda and husband, Justin; granddaughter, Chloe; son, Andrew and wife, Sarah; grandson, Nathan; father in law, Bob Smith; sister-in-law, Betsy Kern and husband, Robert; nephew, Anthony Trent, and niece, Carol Ann Zelley.

Pam graduated from Pulaski High School in 1971 and was a stay-at-home mom to her two beloved children for over 20 years in Henry County. Pam enjoyed cooking, music and laughter, but most of all being with her family, friends, children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday Dec. 15, 2013 at 3 p.m. from Mullins Funeral Home, Radford. with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour from Mullins Funeral Home

Special thanks to Emeritus at Roanoke nurses and caregivers in their assistance with Pam over the last several months.

    My husband, Frank, passed away in Aug. from CBD. I am sorry for Mrs. Smith struggle with this dreadful disease from which she is now released. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
