If you’ve always wanted to be on television, but haven’t had the opportunity, here’s your chance.
AMC television will be filming a new television series, “TURN,” in the Richmond area and is in need of “background actors.”
“The background actors are profoundly important to the filmmaking process,” says Erica Arvold, casting director. “The show takes place during the Revolutionary War and background actors contribute to the atmosphere of that era.”
Both experienced and new background actors are needed for roles that do not have any speaking lines. The only requirements are “a professional attitude and commitment,” according to a press release from Arvold Casting.
Extras will need to be available on weekdays – for one or multiple days. Filming takes place through March.
According to Arvold, men and women of all ages are needed, particularly those with long hair “who could accurately portray those from the Revolutionary War.”
