The Student Government Association (SGA) at Dublin Middle School sponsored a successful peanut butter drive for The Dream Center of Pulaski. Sarah Moore is the SGA faculty advisor who headed up the drive. The students collected 260 jars of peanut butter, which is a record for the school. Ms. Ervin’s sixth grade homeroom class collected the most jars and will be having a breakfast party to celebrate their efforts Friday, Dec. 6.
The school also held a food drive Nov. 23 at Walmart in Dublin where they collected over 400 canned good items. “This is the second year DMS came together to work to serve their community,” said Joe Blankenship of The Dream Center.
The Dream Center of Pulaski would like to thank the faculty, staff and students for their successful efforts with these drives. The Center is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance to those in need on a monthly basis. The Dream Center is located in the old Share building on Dora Highway in Pulaski, and they provide for families in all of Pulaski County.
