Jon Bartlett has been named Market President of LewisGale Regional Health System (LGRHS) and CEO of LewisGale Medical Center, effective Oct. 31.
“Jon has outstanding credentials as a hospital administrator and a health system leader,” said Margaret Lewis and Denise P. King in a joint statement. “His experience translates perfectly to LewisGale and will allow us to continue our work in providing high-value, high-quality healthcare during a time of great change in the industry.” Lewis is President of HCA’s Richmond-based Capital Division and Senior Executive of HCA Virginia Health System. King is Chairman of LewisGale Medical Center’s board of trustees.
Bartlett joins LGRHS after serving as president of Abrazo Health Care in Phoenix, Ariz., from 2011 to 2011. Abrazo is a six-hospital, 1,029-bed network that is part of Vanguard Health Systems. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer of Arrowhead Hospital, a 220-bed facility in Glendale, Ariz., from 2001-2011. He also has experience working in three HCA facilities: as chief operating officer at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colo.; as chief executive and chief financial officer at Columbine Psychiatric Center, in Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and as controller at Aurora Regional Medical Center in Aurora, Colo.
“I’m delighted to be rejoining HCA and excited about coming to the Roanoke Valley,” said Bartlett. “The LewisGale system has a well-deserved reputation for providing outstanding care, and I’m look forward to playing an important role not just in leading our health system, but also in being an integral part of the community.”
Bartlett earned both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He and wife Jeri will be relocating soon to the Roanoke Valley.
