Irene Saul Clapp, age 68, of Dublin and formerly of Radford, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski. She was born July 27, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Mary Martin Saul and Richard Saul. Irene was a retired physical therapy technician for Radford Community Hospital, with over 38 years of service. She was also a member of Max Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Chocolate Saul, Frank Saul, and Harry Saulp; and three sisters, Edith Taylor, Betty Robinson, and Lottie Erickson. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Clapp of Dublin, and her son, Tommy F. Clapp of Christiansburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a good friend and special sister-in-law, Zula Saul. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Max Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
