Hattie Taylor James

Hattie Taylor James, age 83 of Dublin passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Pulaski.

Born April 7, 1930 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Eugene T. & Mary Kemp Taylor. Her husband; Robert F. James and brother; Stanley Eugene Taylor also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Thomas L. Marshall of Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Marshall Hurst and husband, Andy, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Lynn Hughes, Ashley Hurst, Cindy Bailey and Sterling Hurst; six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bonnie Taylor of Hiwassee; niece, Gail Moliver of Rumson, N.J.; nephew, William E. Taylor of Rockville, N.C., and many devoted friends, especially Dickie, Charlotte and Gloria.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski, with Rev. Don Singleton officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
