The town of Dublin recently hired three new police officers, although one is not really a new face to the department.
Chief Dennis Lambert introduced Dallas Leamon, Wayne David and Daniel Mitchell to Dublin Town Council last week. He said David is returning to Dublin after having worked there in the past.
David has over 12 years of experience. Besides working for Dublin Police Department, he also has worked for Hillsville Police Department and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
Leamon comes to the department with over 16 years of law enforcement experience, including work in Roanoke and at Virginia Tech.
Mitchell recently graduated from New River Criminal Justice Training Academy. “Although he has no experience as a police officer, he comes from a strong background with his father serving as a law enforcement officer,” said Lambert. He also is a Marine and continues to serve the country as a reservist.
