WYTHEVILLE – Downtown Wytheville Revitalization Committee will hold its first Downtown Wytheville Festival: Dickie Boyles Memorial Cruise-In Saturday, Sept. 21, in honor and memory of a long-time town employee who died May 7.

Boyles was a 33-year employee of Wytheville Department of Parks and Recreation and was known throughout the area. He also was involved in classic and antique car collecting.

In addition to the display of classic and antique cars lining Main Street, the festival also will feature a variety of vendors; a beer and wine garden offering local and regional beer, wine and specialty brews; music by the Beach Nite Band and Badunkafunk, and inflatables and other activities for the children. All activities are free.

The 4-9 p.m. festival will be held along Main Street, between 4th and 5th streets, and along Tazewell Street, from Main to Monroe.
