The Warlords Motorcycle Club (MC), NRV Chapter, is hosting Riverfest 2013 Sept. 13 through 15, with a poker run in support of the Wounded Warrior Foundation scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14.

There will be two live bands, Lee Palmer and Hotwire, playing Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., and DJ music Friday night. The cost to attend Riverfest 2013 is $15 per person and $20 per couple. Camping will be available with $5 plates of food served each night with beverages available as well.

The poker Rrn will begin at The Sportsman, 2947 Little River Dam Road, Radford just off Exit 105. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with departure at 11:30 a.m. The cost to ride is $15 single or $20 with a rider, but those already attending Riverfest 2013 only pay an extra $5. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and a best hand payout. The run ends at Riverfest 2013. An additional $5 allows those participating in the poker run only to stay for the festivities at Riverfest.

“I really want this first event to go off big and build brotherhood and community friendships,” said Dean “Krazyhorse” Church, president of the Warlords MC, NRV Chapter. “We have been wanting to do a Wounded Warrior ride for a while, but just didn’t know who to get in touch with locally. Our brother from Wytheville actually does a lot for Wounded Warrior Foundation.”

Riverfest 2013 is open to everyone over age 18 and will be held in beautiful Allisonia on riverfront property. Follow 100 through Draper to Sylvatus, turn on Sylvatus Smith Road (Route 693), and follow the signs to Riverfest.

Both events are sponsored by Warlords MC, NRV Chapter. For more information on Riverfest 2013, call Dean “Krazyhorse” Church at (540) 641-0402 or Curtis “Bullet” Lester at (540) 320-7282. For more information on the poker run, please call Wayne “Wrench” Epperly at (540) 921-7223.
