New River Community College will offer two sessions of “Enhancing Instruction with iPads” at Montgomery County Technology Center in Christiansburg this fall.
The hands-on course will prepare classroom teachers to develop 21st century lessons that integrate the Apple iPad and iTunes resources into daily curriculum and personal teaching style. Participants will learn how to operate and manage iPads, create lessons using resources from iTunes and iTunes U and examine instructional Internet resources.
The first session meets 4-7:30 p.m. every Thursday between Sept. 26 and Nov. 14; and the second session meets 4-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from Oct. 2 to Nov. 20. Additional virtual/online coursework and daily access to an iPad are required. Julie Craft is the instructor.
This is a three-credit course and tuition is $397.65 for in-state students. The Technology Center is at 1180 North Franklin St. in Christiansburg.
