The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley (FACNRV) will host a closing reception for one of its most popular exhibitions, Menagerie, this coming Sunday afternoon.
The exhibition has been on display to the public at no charge since Aug. 5, and will be available for viewing through Sunday, Sept. 29. The closing reception will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Fine Arts Center Gallery, 21 W Main St., Pulaski.
Menagerie offers local artists an opportunity to showcase their work for the public, as well as giving practicing artists a chance to try out new styles.
“There are no judgment calls, themes or restrictions on the show, so everyone is sure to find something they like or that interests them,” said FACNRV executive director Judy Ison.
All featured artists have been invited to introduce themselves and speak briefly about their work during the reception. Virginia’s 7th District Delegate, Nick Rush, will also be on hand at the reception to present a commending resolution to the Fine Arts Center for its program of work and service to the community.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and during reception hours on Sept. 29.
