The Pulaski County Christmas Store’s first intake session will be held this Saturday from late morning until early afternoon at Central Gym.
The intake sessions allow the Christmas Store to process applications for those who need assistance in providing for their families during the holidays. While the Christmas Store does not supply food, it does work with a number of organizations that do. People who are receiving assistance through the Salvation Army are not eligible.
To get an application, visit your local library or the Pulaski County Department of Social Services, or go online to www.pulaskicountychristmasstore.com. To volunteer or find out more about how you, your church, civic group, employer, etc., can get involved, visit the website listed above or call 553-1309.
Other intake days, al at Central Gym, are Sept. 19, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Sept. 21, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Sept. 26, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Sept. 28, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Oct. 5, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Volunteers are needed for intake days.
