FOSTER FALLS — Andy Eli Fender, age 82, of Foster Falls, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013. He was born Aug. 24, 1931, son of the late Doctor C. Fender and Adah Crouse Fender and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mabry Fender; son-in-law, Jesse McGlothlin and two brothers, James and D. C. Fender.
Fender was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a supervisor of maintenance at the University of Maryland Hospital. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia and Roger Turpin of Pulaski, and Sandy McGlothlin of Foster Falls; one son, Frank and Drema Fender of Draper; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Aaron Roop of Shiloh, and Chris Fender of Bremerton, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept., 6, at 8 p.m. at Reese Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. David Hoover and Cecil Mabry officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mabry Cemetery in Foster Falls. Grover King Post 1115 VFW will conduct graveside military rites. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home, from 6 p.m. until service time.
