Three people are dead as the result of separate shootings in Pulaski and Christiansburg, which police say are related.

According to Christiansburg Police Department, authorities found a deceased male inside a home on Kays Drive in Christiansburg, near New River Valley Mall, when they responded to a 6:19 p.m. report of a shooting. Two other people in the residence were not injured.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and was later located in Pulaski. Pulaski Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Sixth Street in Northwest Pulaski around 7 p.m.

Pulaski police found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds upon arrival. One of the deceased subjects was identified as having been involved in the Christiansburg shooting.

As of press time Saturday, no identities were being released pending notification of next of kin.

Police said both investigations are continuing. Pulaski authorities indicated no suspects are being sought in connection with the Pulaski shooting.
