Pulaski and Christiansburg police departments have identified the three people killed in separate, but related, shootings in both jurisdictions Friday.
Pulaski police say the 7 p.m. shooting at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Sixth Street in northwest Pulaski appears to have been a murder/suicide. The victims were identified as Clinton Morris, 69, of Christiansburg and Barry T. Roberson, 45, of Pulaski.
The victim of the 6:19 p.m. shooting on Kays Drive in Christiansburg was identified as Derek Scott Roberson, 36. He lived at the residence where he was killed.
Christiansburg police are calling that shooting a homicide. Authorities had identified Morris as a suspect in the shooting shortly after the incident, but once it was determined he was deceased, The Southwest Times chose to not identify him until next of kin was notified.
Two other people were inside the Christiansburg residence when the shooting occurred, but police said they were not injured.
