A Pulaski man was charged Friday with damaging a railroad crossing arm.
Pulaski police received a report at 11:42 a.m. that a white truck pulling a black trailer had damaged one of the arms at the Washington Avenue crossing.
Officer Megan Jennings said the truck crossed the tracks while the crossing arm was lowering, causing the trailer to catch on the arm. She noted the crossing bell had already sounded when the truck crossed the tracks.
The passing train then hit the arm, causing further damage.
Jennings said the suspect vehicle was later located in town. The driver was identified at 73-year-old Donald Ted Anderson. He is charged with property damage and failing to stop at a railroad crossing.
