FORT CHISWELL–The 2013 volleyball season opened for Pulaski Middle School as the Orioles traveled to Fort Chiswell to take on the Pioneers. The Oriole spikers came away with a 25-10, 25-19 victory.

In the first game, Taylor Sink led the Orioles from behind the service line with an 11-for-11 performance. In the second game, the Orioles’ passing failed them on occasion, making it a much closer contest, and more difficult to set up the offense.

Bailey posted an 8-for-9 performance from behind the service line in game two to lead Pulaski. Stacy was 4-for-4, Akers 3-for-3, and Sink 3-for-4. Phillips was the top passer.

The Orioles will host Fort Chiswell on Sept. 4.
