New River Valley Chapter of American Red Cross has named a new board of directors for
the 2013-14 fiscal year.
Board members are: Chairman Steve Davis, Virginia Department of Health; Reid Broughton, Sands Anderson PC; Richard Mitchell, Celanese; Mark Montgomery, Volvo; Mendy Sink, H.H. Hunt; John Tutle, ServPro of Montgomery and Pulaski Counties, and Lisa Yost, New River Community Action.
“We are pleased to have these individuals on our Board of Directors for the next year,” said Executive Director Annie Harvey. “These are dedicated volunteers who give of their time, talent and skills to advance the mission of the Red Cross in our communities.”
The New River Valley Chapter provides lifesaving services to the counties of Bland, Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski, Radford City and towns of Blacksburg and Christiansburg.
Red Cross is a nonprofit organization dependant upon volunteers and the public’s generosity to meet its mission. The organization shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid, and supports military members and their families.
